What is centralised access control?

Centralised access control allows the user to access all applications, websites and other information systems from a single profile, with the same credentials from anywhere. All information resources under the user's control are subject to unified identity management.

With unified identity management across all business applications, the user has a single browser-based console for integrated access control. A central administration console enables more IT services and infrastructure that a company needs, such as the installation and configuration of components, monitoring the health status of a network, or centralised access to all work resources needed by employees to perform all standard work tasks.

Centralised access control systems are very effective security tools. With these systems, companies know the exact location and time of day when an employee has entered/exited any component of the infrastructure. But that's not all.

This system helps administrators resolve data breaches and other potential problems. In the event of an emergency, access control systems help block access instantaneously.
