Protecting one's email inbox from virus attacks such as malware and ransomware, spam and phishing is very important to protect one's privacy. Opening the wrong e-mail, clicking on a suspicious link or downloading an attachment exposes users to major cyber-attacks by malicious attackers.

This is why it is advisable to use an anti-malware agent that scans incoming e-mails, checking that they do not contain any infected links or attachments: if it detects any threats, it will prevent them from being opened.

Most antivirus software includes an anti-malware solution for scanning e-mails: if you are not able to implement it yourself, contact your IT consultant or contact our support.
